Cover variant identification
When a yellow-background Wolverine pose appears both as a newsstand variant and as a motion cover, we write which is which.
Variant work is slow looking. We set the paper cover under daylight, note trade dress, corner box, and any polybag remnants, then compare the digital still or looped cover. Many X-Men NFT comics reuse a painted pose that also existed as a 1:25 incentive. The identification note states that overlap in plain language.
We refuse to invent scarcity counts. If a publisher or platform published an edition size, we quote that figure as printed. If they did not, the note says the count is unpublished. Collectors leave with a naming line they can file beside the bagged issue and the digital collectible, not a sales pitch.
